Now, here're some sobering statistics for you:
- 98% of people fail at keeping New Year's resolutions to change their habits
- 70% of Americans who pay of credit card debt with a home equity loan end up with the same, or higher debt in two years. (doesn't talk about food per se, but does talk about how well our resolve goes)
- Americans spend $40 billion a year on diets, but 19 out of 20 never lose anything but their money
- And the list could go on and on....
So... Let's talk. After watching, planning, reading, buying and making resolutions to eat a healthier lifestyle, how's it going for you? Is it making a difference? Are you sticking with it? Are you applying the principles you've heard/read/watched?
For me it takes a lot of talk about it. I want many people to know what I'm doing - so when I want to fall off the band-wagon, they'll remind me. I am reading voraciously about it. I'm listening to books, I'm reading, I am looking up recipes (yes, I am!), and I'm reading websites for more information and more support of what I'm seeking to accomplish.
And I'm experimenting. I made a shake last night in the Vita-mix that not only was good, I also wished I would have wrote it down so I could repeat it at some point in time!
