Yesterday i was finally able to get over to the Forks Over Knives movie at the Fox Theater. We'd been trying to arrange with several friends and family members to see it with each other. None of that worked, but in the end, my brother and sister-in-law were able to go with us on the spur of the moment.
In the end, as a friend of mine recently said, "Looks like my grocery shopping may be limited to the produce section." Whole foods, plant-based diet seems to be the thing of cures.... But it's also the stuff that Seventh-day Adventists have known for over 100 years. Maybe it's time we all started really eating to live, rather than living to eat....
This movie mimicked a number of others we've seen recently (in the last month)

- The Beautiful Truth - http://www.gersonmedia.com/DVDs.html
- The Gerson Miracle - http://www.gersonmedia.com/DVDs.html

- As well as several on Youtube
Add to that, Gail and I started re-reading "The China Study" and to say the least, we are thoroughly impressed with the idea of eating more healthfully. As many of you are too....
So, i'm starting this blog to help support and help go forward in the concept of eating healthfully. Anyone can submit a blog post if they email it to me first. And anyone can certainly respond to a blog post in the comments section.
But lets do more research here. Let's ask tough questions here. Let's listen to each others' struggles here. Let's support each other on the quest to move forward here. Wanna join me?
I was really convicted by this film. In fact, most of the people we transport are fighting obesity or high BMIs. Indeed, many of the people "our" age, look much older.
ReplyDeleteI often see people who are overweight, fighting diabetes, cellulitis, sleep apnea, hypertension, depression, etc, etc. It is clear to see, this is all a result of their diet.
It's rampant and you probably see a lot of it @gwalter!
